Shameless, a four-track EP, is the latest release from the UK band, Saints of Eden. Their sound has a fairly large range, dabbling in synthpop, darkwave, and industrial-metal.
"Shameless", the first track on this EP, is a slower-tempo, synthpop-styled track, but adds a twist with the addition of rap vocals by T.Amore, which are interplayed against the sung vocals. "Ice" is more of a darkwave-style track with slightly distorted vocals and haunting keyboards. "The Price Ya Gotta Pay" has a stronger metal sound and strongly reminds me of Die Krupps. "No Near" rounds out the EP with a more electronic feel and slightly distorted vocals, backed up by airy vocals in the background. As an added bonus, the EP also includes the video for the song "Shameless".
The Shameless EP is a nice sampler to the breadth and depth of the sound of Saints of Eden.
